Precision Medical Services Inc is seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Assistant to join our surgical team at our advanced medical facility in Denver, Colorado. The Surgical Assistant will work closely with surgeons during surgical procedures, providing essential support to ensure the safety and efficacy of surgical interventions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment prior to procedures.
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and providing other support as needed.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.
  • Assist with wound closure and dressing application at the conclusion of surgeries.
  • Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including instrument counts and patient documentation.
  • Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a surgical technology program preferred.
  • Previous experience as a surgical assistant or surgical technologist in a hospital or surgical center setting.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.
